How to Sign Up for DynaTax AI as a Tax Professional
The complete signup path for CPAs, EAs, tax attorneys, and professional bookkeepers: one registration form, a text-message verification code, and a short onboarding wizard for identity and license verification.
Create Your Account
Registration happens on a single page at dynatax.ai/auth/pro/register. The form asks for:
- Full name and a username
- Email address
- Phone number — this is where your verification code is sent, so use a phone that can receive text messages
- Password — a strength meter shows how strong your password is as you type
- Firm name — your firm's name, or your own name if you practice solo
- Professional type — CPA, EA (Enrolled Agent), Tax Attorney, or Professional Bookkeeper
You must accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy to continue. Two additional consents — marketing emails and SMS updates about your professional account — are optional. Click Create Professional Account to submit.
Verify Your Phone
After submitting the form, DynaTax AI sends a 6-digit verification code by text message to the phone number you entered. Enter the code on the verification screen to activate your account.
- Didn't get the code? A resend button becomes available after a short countdown.
- Too many wrong attempts temporarily locks the verification screen — the lockout timer on screen shows when you can try again.
Onboarding: Identity & License
Once your account is active, a three-step onboarding wizard walks you through verification.
Step 1: Identity Verification (Required)
You verify your identity with a government-issued photo ID through Stripe Identity. The process takes 2–5 minutes, and results are usually instant, though they can take up to 24 hours.
Step 2: License Verification (Optional)
Submitting your professional license is optional at this stage — you can skip it and come back later. If you upload a license document:
- AI extracts the license number, state, expiration date, and issue date, and shows a confidence score for the extraction.
- Review the extracted details and correct anything the AI got wrong.
- Our admin team reviews your license with state licensing boards — typical review time is 24–48 hours.
- You keep full platform access while the review is pending.
Step 3: Complete
The final step confirms your onboarding is done and takes you into the pro portal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the platform while my license is being reviewed?
Yes. License review does not block platform access — you can work with clients and use exports while it is pending. License verification is also skippable during onboarding entirely.
Can I add licenses from multiple states or multiple credentials?
Yes — you can submit more than one credential. Add them during onboarding or later under Settings → Verification in the pro portal.
How long does license review take?
Our admin team reviews submitted licenses with state licensing boards; typical review time is 24–48 hours. You are notified when the review completes.
Which tax software can I export to?
Drake (Trial Balance bundle), ProSeries and Lacerte (TXF for Schedule C, plus CSV), UltraTax (CSV), and a generic CSV that works with other tools.
